Wedding Down the Shore – Zach & Katie

A wedding down the shore is about as Jersey as you can get, and I looooove it! Katie and Zach didn’t want to have a huge ceremony at a typical venue. So instead, they chose to have their wedding ceremony on the Jersey Shore boardwalk surrounded by their closest friends and family.

I don’t normally get beguiled by a wedding theme and color palette but Katie and Zach chose the coolest colors. Teal, cerulean, and aquamarine were the main staples for their wedding theme. And wait til you see their super original wedding flowers! Other than that, their wedding was very DIY friendly with even Mom doing the bride’s make-up. Just goes to show you, your wedding can make you as crazy as you make it with logistics. And Katie and Zach definitely went for low key fun!

How beautiful are Katie’s flowers? I love how original they are! And would you believe they come all the way from San Diego? That’s some imported stuff right there! I love how each bridesmaid gets to show her own personality by having full freedom in choosing their dress silhouette, hair and shoes. So beautiful and original.

Get your tissues ready because this first look was a doozy. Neither Katie nor Zach could contain their excitement or emotions, and I’ll admit, I was using my camera to hide my tears too!

Luckily the rain let up a little bit during the day so that we could take some portraits without constantly holding umbrellas. The lighting ended up having a very cool effect thanks to the overcast clouds, so I’ll allow it!

It was so cute, the wedding was just getting ready to get set up to start when a woman on her morning run stopped by to wish everyone many years of happiness. It’s moments like these that make your wedding memorable.
