Melissa and Nick met for the first time just over six years ago, working together at CVS in Summit, NJ. After multiple transfers from store to store, it was fate that brought these two lovebirds together. In the short time they worked together, they quickly became friends, looking forward to working the same shifts and eating together during their breaks. Nick finally mustered the courage to ask Melissa out on a date and she obliged. They went to The Cheesecake Factory, which still happens to be their favorite place to this day.
The Proposal
Fast forward to March 30, 2017. Newark Airport. They are waiting for a plane to take them to their first true vacation together to the happiest place on Earth, Disney World. Nick was all nerves, he hadn’t ever flown on an airplane before. Little did Melissa know, Nick had an engagement ring stashed in his carry-on bag.
After a long day in the Florida heat, the couple prepared for dinner. Nick transferred the ring into his pocket in preparation for the proposal and immediately after giving himself an internal pep talk, Melissa mentions how swollen her fingers were from the Florida heat and humidity. Panic intensified.
During dinner, Nick popped the question under some palm trees at the resort’s waterfall, pulled out the ring, and Melissa was completely surprised yet still managed to scream a resounding “YES!”
Here are some favorites from their beautiful spring wedding at The Palace.

By my estimates, there were approximately 10 billion beads on this beautifully elaborate veil.
Nick had this custom book made for Melissa filled with caricatures and stories of their relationship. I love seeing the extra steps couples take to make their wedding day even more special.
A tearful first look with dad.
A candle was placed to honor the groom’s father, a very touching way to remember those we’ve lost.
The ceremony was really beautiful, but some decided it was a good opportunity to get in some beauty rest before the party began.
Poppin’ champagne on route to the venue.
Melissa & Nick in their spot in the pews.
The guys reppin’ their wide array of team socks.
“Would you get a look at that ring?!”
This job isn’t always sunshine and rainbows… but some days it actually IS!
I love seeing what clients do with their engagement photos! Incorporating them into the wedding is always a hit!
“Groomsman” may not be accurate, but does it really matter when you’re having this much fun?
Touching moments during the Father / Daughter dance.
Sister. Maid of Honor. Knows all the dirt.
A spring wedding at The Palace wouldn’t be complete without a fire shot.
Me: I’ll never take photos of you eating.
Also Me:
When Nick went to take Melissa’s garter, they surprised their guests when he started pulling fake rubber chickens out instead!
Don’t mess with a bunch of bridesmaids going for the bouquet.
Another twist to the garter toss – throw it wrapped around a football!
