You could say this bride and groom have always been on the same team since they met playing soccer with mutual friends in NYC! Since then, they’ve gone on many fun dates, including when Jess brought Jay to “a place to get good food” that she knew of. It was 7/11 for taquitos! Jess says that she still finds this hilarious, and so do I.
Their first date was in 2013, and nearly 10 years later, Jay proposed. He chose the perfect location, Jess’s “happy place” on the walking path of the Delaware River canal. Jay got down on one knee and proposed right on the spot where they could view their new home for which they had only just found out their offer was accepted. That sounds like two pretty good deals to me!
They shared this special moment with their dog Nola, who provided the cover story for their supposed walk. After the proposal, Jay also surprised Jess with a celebratory brunch with both of their families, including his sister who flew in from Arizona and Jess’s sister who flew in all the way from California!
At the wedding, the newly married couple celebrated with all of their friends and family at Lambertville Station Inn. Located right on the Delaware River, the venue was a beautiful place to celebrate the special connection between the bride and groom. With a theme of neutral colors, sage green bridesmaid dresses, and traditional black tuxes, the wedding truly lived up to the “simple yet elegant” style Jess designed!
Congratulations to the bride and groom! Check out some of my favorite photos from their special day below.
