Proposals

Andrew and Julia’s proposal at Ninety Acres in October was a beautiful celebration of a love story filled with laughter, dedication, and plenty of unforgettable memories. The couple first met in December 2023 at an Ugly Christmas Sweater party in Hoboken, where Julia proudly took the title of having the uglier sweater. Their first date at Sirenetta was just as memorable, with Andrew showing off his playful personality by stopping in the middle of the street to howl at the full moon, a nod to his rugby nickname, “White Wolf.” From the very beginning, Andrew had Julia laughing nonstop, and it didn’t take long for them to realize they had found something special.

Their relationship began when Andrew was stationed in Georgia with the Army and Julia lived in Hoboken. Despite the miles between them, they made every effort to spend time together, whether that meant flying back and forth or Andrew making the 14-hour drive to New Jersey. Just a few weeks after meeting, Andrew even drove eight hours to Florida to meet Julia’s entire family, a gesture that helped her realize he was the one. Through it all, their relationship continued to grow, built on a shared sense of humor, unwavering support, and a genuine appreciation for one another. These days, they love taking road trips, listening to Harry Potter audiobooks, trying new restaurants, and simply enjoying the time they get to spend together.

When it came time to propose, Andrew had a surprise planned that Julia never saw coming.  Julia thought they were heading to Ninety Acres for a birthday celebration for her Nonna. Instead, as they walked toward the restaurant, Andrew got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Julia was completely shocked and overjoyed! With help from their families and friends, especially both of their moms, Andrew managed to keep the entire plan a secret. The celebrations didn’t stop there. With Julia’s family in New Jersey and Andrew’s in Maryland, both sides helped organize special surprises so everyone could share in the excitement. The engagement ring was equally thoughtful, with Julia having chosen the band during a shopping trip in Georgia and Andrew selecting the diamond himself.

One of the sweetest parts of this proposal was knowing that these were Andrew and Julia’s very first professional photos together. After spending so much of their relationship navigating long distance, having these beautiful moments captured at Ninety Acres makes this milestone even more meaningful. They’re already looking forward to framing their favorite images, creating a photo album, and filling their home with memories from such an unforgettable day. Congratulations, Andrew and Julia! Here’s to a lifetime of many more beautiful memories together!
