The Italians have a great saying: “Sposa bagnata, sposa fortunata,” which means “Wet bride, lucky bride.” Well, Leigh Anne & Scott, I think you two are going to have a boatload of luck if the rain you experienced during your New Jersey Country Club wedding at Ballyowen is any indication.
Not to go on a tirade about the weather or anything, but what is going on? It’s supposed to be April showers bring May flowers. Not April showers bring May showers and at probably June showers. Anywho, even with the incessant downpour all day on May 13th, there was so much love and happiness you almost didn’t notice. (notice I said almost Leigh Anne lol).

Scott did such a great job with his gift for his bride to be. Totally Leigh Anne’s style and looked beautiful with the rest of her bridal jewelry.
Meanwhile, while Scott’s getting ready he had to take a break to come to the rescue and fix his nephew’s truck.
Looking at the weather for the day was not fun as a photographer, knowing their couple was going to have to deal with rain all day. It’s different when you know there’s going to be a break, which was not the case for their wedding day. Everyone was such troopers, all in good spirits and smiles, making the best of it! A special thanks go to Leigh Anne and Scott for having such amazing friends and family that we didn’t let the weather get us down.
I’m sure the bridal party was pretty happy when it was first look time, that meant they got to dry off for a hot second. Interestingly, it’s about now that the whole world melted away and we all forgot about the rain.
Normally Ballyowen Golf Club has a beautiful ceremony space outdoors with the rolling hills of the golf course. With the rain, we had to move indoors but you wouldn’t even notice that the ceremony space was Plan B.
With Leigh Anne and Scott officially the new Mr. and Mrs. Farabaugh, it was time to party! And oh man, was the music bumping and the fun times had!
Get your tissues… father of the bride dances with his daughter. Here come the waterworks!
Here the Maid of Honor is busting on Leigh Anne for always being late. You know how there is EST (Eastern Standard Time) well apparently there’s also LAT (Leigh Anne Time) BUT guess who was the one a little slow on the getting ready today?! cough cough SCOTT!
And although everyone was a good sport about the rain, one person reached their breaking point. I can’t blame him though, it was getting pretty late!
Spoiler alert to the guests of this wedding: you might be getting a Thank You card with this photo, but yay for back lit night shots in the rain!!
I can’t believe it’s already June. That means it’s almost time to leave for your honeymoon. Take all the photos so I can live vicariously and pretend I went to Italy with you!
