Jasmine and Shefin’s June proposal at Van Vleck House & Gardens was filled with thoughtful details that beautifully reflected the journey they’ve shared together. Tucked away in one of the garden’s quieter, more secluded corners, the proposal felt incredibly intimate while still surrounded by the beauty of the grounds of the historic estate. It was the perfect setting for a moment they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.

One of the most meaningful parts of the proposal was an adventure scrapbook that Shefin had created, filled with photos, stories, and mementos from throughout their relationship. With the help of his sister and family, who arrived early to set everything up, the scrapbook was waiting for them on a table in the garden. As Jasmine and Shefin flipped through each page together, they took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the experiences that had brought them to this moment. When they reached the end of the book, Shefin got down on one knee and asked Jasmine to marry him. Hidden nearby, his excited family watched from a distance, eager to witness the moment before joining in the celebration.

After the proposal, we wandered through the gardens to capture portraits among the beautiful flowers, winding paths, and the stunning historic home. Van Vleck House & Gardens offered no shortage of gorgeous backdrops, making every photo feel timeless while still allowing the couple to enjoy such a private and peaceful experience.

Jasmine and Shefin are currently building their future together in Pennsylvania, where they both work in healthcare while Jasmine finishes her degree to become a nurse practitioner. It was so fun to witness two people supporting one another through such an important season of life while beginning an exciting new chapter together.
