After bonding over Harry Potter as friends studying abroad, Lisa and Keith had, arguably, THE most epic first date ever. The two, then college juniors, flew from their studies abroad in Berlin to London to see the seventh Harry Potter movie in the same theater it premiered in one week before. Keep in mind – this was not a planned trip!
Much of Lisa & Keith’s time spent together revolved around their passion for traveling and indulging in different cultures. On one trip, before they were officially dating, they visited the Eternal City, Rome, and paid a visit to the Italian Trevi Fountain.
Legend says that when you visit the Trevi Fountain, you must turn your back to the fountain, close your eyes, and throw a coin over your left shoulder while making a wish. Lisa did just that! Her wish was to find the person she was meant to be with.
Soon after, Lisa & Keith started dating and their love story began! – No, this is’t the Lizzie McGuire Movie – totally real life!!
Their story continued when Keith took Lisa by surprise with a magical proposal. After teasing that they wouldn’t get married for years, Keith very romantically got down on one knee while they were making dinner together in their home.
While I continue to swoon over this super fun and beautiful day, check out some of my favorite shots from Lisa and Keith’s intimate, rustic wedding at Sterlingbrook Farms.

Best way to calm nerves before the wedding? By poppin’ some bubbly and having fun!
And subs to go with the champagne, of course. I ALWAYS encourage brides and bridesmaids to eat during wedding prep. Trust me – you’ll thank me later!
Lisa’s mom got emotional after seeing her daughter dressed in white! ALL the feels.
Lisa shared a moment with her flower girl before her first look. Never hurts to share some pointers before the walk down the aisle, right?
You know I’m a sucker for a great first look, this was no exception!! 🙂
The couple’s bridal party was dressed in lilac, which sat beautifully against the farm’s landscape.
It’s all about silver linings, right? Even with an overcast of clouds, there was an awesome breeze which fluttered through Lisa’s dress beautifully!
So many great spots to shoot with a rustic wedding like this!
This little guy took over for his sister, and boy did he take his job seriously!
A prominent theme throughout the wedding was, of course, travel! The couple did a wonderful job executing their theme with maps and tickets throughout the reception space.
Their centerpieces incorporated some of their favorite destinations together, with photos of their best memories and flags from those countries.
Sterlingbrook Farms was the perfect venue for Lisa and Keith’s rustic wedding! The strung lights and wooden beams set the tone for romance.
Instead of a traditional wedding cake, Lisa and Keith chose to have an ice cream truck visit their venue and serve guests anything they wanted!
Rain later in the evening did not stop this party – the dancing continued all night long!
At the end of the night, guests celebrated the couple’s love with a “cheers,” waving flags from each of the centerpieces surrounding the bride and groom.
