Not even the rainy weather could take away from the beauty of this cozy celebration with the bride and groom’s favorite people. Kristen and Dan decided to go a bit untraditional and had a small, intimate wedding ceremony at home with family and friends.
The bride and groom adapted some traditional wedding elements and made them their own for the special day. Instead of a typical bride and groom prep experience of a room full of the bridal party, they opted for a more intimate experience and got ready in their home. Keeping the element of surprise alive we still had a low-key first look to officially kick off the day.
Their guests joined them for a beautiful ceremony in their living room, adding to the memories they hold in their home. With family photos on the wall – matching many of the faces with them that day – it was the perfect venue for the bride and groom to say “I do.”
Kristen did a beautiful job with the decorations, arranging the flowers and tablescapes herself! She made their home a beautiful backdrop for the photos with her modern yet elegant design.
Despite doing a lot of work to set up her own wedding, she kept a calm, chill attitude and brought such a fun energy to the day. She even ditched the heels and brought out her slides with excitement as she adapted to the weather! Who are we kidding really, those fancy shoes aren’t built for the wedding day anyway!
Their intimate wedding felt like a fun family party. Everyone was dancing, eating, and drinking, and the little ones brought their own fun to the celebration!
I can’t imagine a better way for the newlyweds to celebrate their love with their family and friends!
Congrats Kristen & Dan! Take a peek at some of my favorite photos from the big day below!
