Molly and Hoyt had a bit of an untraditional wedding at Strawberry Hill Mansion at Baldpate Mountain. The low-key cocktail-style evening offered the coziness of an intimate wedding, but the rustic outdoor venue and guest list full of all family and friends was reminiscent of the heart of a traditional wedding. Talk about the best of both worlds!
Strawberry Hill Mansion is an old mansion house owned by the Mercer County Parks Commission with outdoor tents, lush greenery, gardens, and gorgeous views. The mountaintop is cleared, which some say earned it the name Baldpate, and the estate stands out as the perfect backdrop for some great photos of the bride and groom! The venue is exclusively catered by the Chez Alice Catering Company, offering the complete package for the big day.
While there is a bit of mystery surrounding the history of Strawberry Hill Mansion, we do know that it has stunning views of the Delaware River Valley and surrounding mountainsides. The outdoor patio had plenty of space for all of Molly and Hoyt’s friends and family, and the September weather definitely delivered a beautiful evening.
The newlyweds wanted a simple evening without a formal dinner, but that doesn’t mean they don’t know how to throw a party! The company was just as good as the views and food, and I was honored to capture their special day.
Congrats to Molly & Hoyt! Check out some favorite photos from the day below!
