I met Allison and Brian a couple years ago at Allison’s brother, Matt’s wedding. Matt, his wife Nikki and I all were HHS ’05 grads (go raiders!) While our connection runs deep, it doesn’t hold a candle to Allison and Brian!
Brian always had a love for cars – which is how he met Allison! The two were friends for a few years before dating; and during that time, Allison grew a shared passion for cars with Brian. They even drive the same car – a Mazda RX8! I’m holding back real hard to not make a dad joke about cars a love here!
The two spent years attending car meets together and making memories at the tracks in Englishtown, where Brian drifts cars with Allison by his side in the passenger seat. When not doing all things cars, Brian and Allison spend time at home being dog parents to their furbaby Dachshund, Stig.
On the day of their engagement, Allison thought she and Brian were attending “Musikfest” in Bethlehem, PA with a group of friends. On their way to the meet, the couple’s friend, an aspiring photographer, asked them to stop at a rose garden so she could capture some new shots for her portfolio. Nice set up, Brian! With roses blooming in the background, Brian got down on one knee and proposed to Allison – all captured on camera!
I was honored to shoot Allison and Brian’s wedding at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse where I got a “front seat” view of their wedding day. I couldn’t hold the dad jokes any longer!
Here are some of my favorites from their Hunterdon County wedding!

The ultimate mom moment: preparing your child for her wedding day on one hand and feeling the excitement of your future grandchild “kicking”in the other!
A fun way to let the groom’s personality shine on the big day is with socks! Brian sported these fun-colored socks under his plaid tux.
We embrace the goofballs and trouble makers here – there’s one in every group 🙂
The first look is always emotional – which is perfect for meaningful wedding day pictures, the beautiful soft light and lush green landscapes of Hunterdon County doesn’t hurt either!
Allison had her late grandparents by her side in this memorial piece that was draped around her bouquet.
We decided this is the shot that is getting printed huge and going over their couch. Okay…maybe I decided that 😉
Thank you Mother Willow for your dreamy branches! The joys of a Hunterdon county wedding is that there is plenty of greenery!
Family usually gets the front row seats at ceremonies, but Allison’s brother had the best seat in the house! The couple chose Allison’s brother, Matt, as their officiant, which gave the ceremony an intimate, personal feel.
Fun Fact: I actually met the bride and groom through Matt and his wife, Nikki, when I shot their wedding in 2014!
Yay for bubble exits!
Like almost every girl millennial girl, Allison and her best friend, Kerry, loved the Backstreet Boys. Allison had a crush on Brian, while Kerry had eyes for A.J. The Boys’ nicknames were Frick & Frack, so it was only necessary for Allison and Kerry to go to the Bridgewater Mall and get custom visors made one day in high school.
Kerry dusted off those same hats to share a laugh with Allison on her big day with Brian, the better Brian. Backstreet’s Back – Alright!
Happy tears! Doesn’t every mom cry when her daughter dances with dad?
Allison was ALL smiles in this surprise dance with her brother.
Every-bodayyy! There are never too many Backstreet Boys songs to jam to.
I normally wouldn’t post potentially embarrassing photos, but Mr. Shake-ya-tail-feather was so proud of having split his trousers from excessive dancing. It must be a common thing, since this same guest split his pants at Matt and Nikki’s wedding in 2014!
Did you really cut the cake at your wedding if you didn’t dab icing on your love’s nose?
