Ashley and Neil first met at the Cranford Hotel in the bar and and got engaged in the exact same seats they met in – mic drop.
The day of the proposal, Ashley was helping her younger brother move out of the house in the morning, which almost ruined Neil’s plans to do “nothing” that day. On the way home, Neil suggested they get a mimosas and brunch to close out the long morning, so they landed at the Cranford Hotel. When they walked in, Neil casually suggested sitting in the bar area in the seats they met in. Shortly after finding their seats, Neil got down on one knee and asked Ashley to spend forever together.
Ashley jokes that, of course, Neil proposed at a moment she was “sweaty and gross,” but isn’t that what love is?
After saying “yes,” the two were so excited, they skipped brunch and headed straight to visit their families.
On days they aren’t busy getting married, Ashley and Neil enjoy hiking, spending time at Neil’s family shore home in Lavallette (a beach I love to visit too, mostly because of the amazing Colonial Bakery, amiright?!) and indulging in wine and cheese on a Friday night in front of the the fire. They both cannot live without chocolate covered Oreos – it was even their wedding favor! – and basically all things sweet.
These two love birds were lucky to have a gorgeous summer day to celebrate their love. Here are some of my favorite moments from their June wedding!

I’ve never shot a wedding dress in a bathroom before, but I can’t resist great lighting and clean lines! Thanks for having a gorgeously designed house!
Flower girls have a lot to learn before coming bridesmaids themselves some day. Luckily, mom knows just what to do!
Ashley with her lovely ladies in her parents’ beautiful back yard, where she grew up.
Built-in best friends? These three cuties are all nieces of the bride and groom.
Ashley and Neil were anticipating this moment for (what probably felt like) forever! They decided to forego the first look and save the emotional reveal for Ashley’s trip down the aisle.
Doesn’t every dad cry when he sees his little girl get married?
Love the enthusiasm from the guests too!
There’s no such thing as picture perfect smiles – sometimes what makes the photo are the perfectly-imperfect moments, like cute kids just being cute kids!
The grounds of Baltusrol Golf Club are just perfect for getting wedding portraits.
Ahh, the groom’s cake! Neil hates mushrooms – to the point where he tells people he’s allergic to them! He’s totally not. Ashley likes to call his bluff, and decided to surprise him with this silly mushroom cake! (no it didn’t taste like mushrooms, thank god!)
With views like this, Baltusrol Golf Club is a perfect spot for a summer wedding!
Be careful choosing your Maid of Honor and Best Man – they just might tell the (silly) truth!
Ashley’s dad was quite animated during their first dance! Smiles ALL around!
Ashley’s family has an AWESOME traditional where they take a song, change the lyrics, and sing it to the bride and groom. Of course, Ashley and Neil received this royal treatment.
