Fall Wedding at Forest Lodge – Kristen & Sam

It was the start of 2013 when the stars aligned and Kristen’s life would be changed forever as she knew it. The Green Bay Packers were scheduled to play in the NFC playoffs. Also, it just so happened to be the same day she would go on her first date with her soulmate, Sam. Now, I’m not one to take credit away when it’s due but, I’m pretty sure the Packers have Kristen and Sam to thank for their win that day. Because come on, the story can’t be: “my first date with my future husband was watching my football team lose in the playoffs”.

Fast forward nearly five years, and Sam and Kristen held their fall wedding at the Sherwood Chalet at the Forest Lodge in Warren. I was there lucky enough to photograph their special day and share the photos with you today:

Even the kids found their own cute way of gifting the bride, a Lego cake topper (complete with bride and groom) and a car made of “Green Bay Packers” green legos. Not sure the (Eagles fan) groom would approve of this but it sure made Kristen smile!

Evvvvvverybody wants a shot of the bride, but I suppose I can’t blame them!

Don’t let these beautiful ladies’ faces fool you, it was cold that day! Kristen is from Wisconsin originally so for her it was ‘light jacket’ weather but her bridesmaids were champs for photos.

Of course they have to include Sidney as their Dog of Honor. I also think she gets the award for most photogenic dog ever.

Sam is such a sweet and thoughtful guy. Did you know that he proposed to Kristen on his birthday? Talk about a way to surprise your lady, she definitely did not see it coming. Their pup Sidney even helped with the proposal to make it extra special.

A fall wedding at Forest Lodge wouldn’t be complete without a photo of all the beautiful colors!

The officiant for their wedding canceled for them the day before (BOO!) so Kristen’s Jill-of-all-Trades Maid of Honor stepped in. Minister Mel for the win!

I can only imagine that Sundays aren’t always peaceful in their home with alliance for different teams. :/
