Bride and groom, Claire & Dan, held their beautiful autumn wedding on a crisp November day at Forest Lodge. November can be such a wild card with the weather, it could be 25 or 65. There’s no predicting which way it will go. Fortunately we got a nice happy medium. They really wanted to capture the beauty of their venue and were prepared to withstand the chilly day and were total troopers while we explored Forest Lodge and found the most beautiful red maple still holding strong with its fall colors.
Sometimes you just need a couple coworkers to give you that little push to come together with “the one.” Claire & Dan met at work and their work friends just knew they’d be a match. They had planned a “singles” Valentine’s Dinner, but it was all a ruse to get Claire & Dan together. It sounds to me like the makings of the next episode of The Office. Jim and Pam ain’t got nothin’ on these two. Touché to their coworkers who served as cupid on that red letter day.
The Proposal
One night, they were having a movie date at home to break in their brand new couch (sounds like my kind of date night!) In between movies, Dan said he had to go into the other room for something. Completely unexpected to Claire, when he got back, he dropped to one knee, presented the ring, and asked her the big question. Taken by complete surprise, she kept asking if he was serious before actually giving him the “yes” he was looking for. Being the self proclaimed introverts they are, the intimate moment between the two of them was the perfect choice.
Here are some favorites from their fall wedding at Forest Lodge!

You gotta have the bride tribe with you for all the wedding day help. Thank goodness for your best gals on your day.
For some, having a 15-person bridal party is their dream, but Claire and Dan opted for something smaller scale and more them and they loved the idea of having their best friends by their side.
Remember that maple tree I mentioned? All of the beautiful autumn wedding vibes at Forest Lodge.
Claire and Dan were both such troopers with handling the cold November weather.
Would you believe me if I told you these flowers were fake? You don’t have to have fresh flowers to have them be absolutely beautiful.
Shout out to Blue Sheep Bake Shop in Somerville for the favors!
This dance is dedicated to the open bar!
Rest assured, we can even get those cozy fall photos in at night.
Claire, her bridesmaid, and their college friend had built up a dance routine for Build Me Up Buttercup.
Celebrating a few belated birthdays!
