Nikki and Tim originally met at a Superbowl party months before they started dating. Although their lives were leading them in different directions at the time, they connected again months later. After dating for a while more, Nikki and Tim agreed that they were each others’ person and ultimately decided on forever!
Fast forward some years later, Nikki and Tim said “I do” on a beautiful day in August in front of their family and friends. The couple celebrated their love with an elegant summer wedding at the Lambertville Staton Inn – one of my favorite places to shoot – and MAN was it a gorgeous day!
Here are a few of my favorite moments from Nikki and Tim’s wedding:
With the hustle and bustle that can come with wedding day, the gorgeous views at Lambertville Station Inn made bridal prep that much more serene.
I’ve shot at Lambertville Station Inn a bunch and I always think I’ve found those sweet spots for photos. This was a cool shot I’ve never captured before! The highly reflective sink in the bridal suite helped me create this beautiful mirrored image.
Tim look great in his grey three-piece suit.
A simple way to make portraits fun: add some shades, guys!
This spot at Lambertville Station Inn is usually tricky to photograph since it’s almost always filled with sun. Because it was a bit cloudy that day, I took FULL advantage of the softer lighting and got some beautiful portraits at the waterfront.
When we first met for our initial consultation and chatted about the timeline of the day, Nikki didn’t like the idea of a first look. She didn’t want spoil seeing each other before walking down the aisle. Last minute, Tim convinced her to do it since they had a limited amount of time to take portraits with their packed schedule.

So despite having seen each other before the ceremony, it was still an emotional moment for Tim when he saw his bride walk down the aisle.
The ceremony was the perfect mix of love and laughter – foundations of a happy marriage!
Both moms gave Tim a big hug after lighting candles during the ceremony. It was a really sweet, unplanned moment that showed how much love and support these two have.
It was truly an elegant summer wedding – visible through decor. Everything from the flowers and centerpieces down to the linens were classy and unique.
Father-daughter dances are always a tear jerker!
Nikki and Tim had a party crew at their wedding! With drinks and music flowing, the dance floor was packed all night.
None of the guys wanted the garter when Tim threw it!
He ended up “tossing” it to a guest who was a really great sport!
Anyone who knows Nikki well isn’t surprised that she had a little fun with the cake cutting!
Towards the end of the night, Nikki changed into another white dress, which was actually her mother’s wedding gown shortened and recreated for Nikki’s big day.
The sparkler send off was a fun way to end a really fun night filled with love and want, many laughs!
