Cross Estate Gardens, May Engagement Photos – Bernardsville, NJ

Alexis and Brian’s engagement session at Cross Estate Gardens in Bernardsville, NJ, was the kinds of session that makes me love spring.  From the incredible wisteria blooming from the trellis, the bright spring green everywhere and of course, their Black Lab, Willy, we really knocked this one out of the park. While we weren’t thrilled that the fluctuating weather forecast wan’t cooperating, we make lemonade out of lemons and got some really cute shots with the spring rain, too!

This sweet couple’s  journey together began with simple date nights, driving around town enjoying each other’s company, and has grown into a beautiful story marked by commitment and shared dreams.The proposal was a heartwarming surprise that took place in Virginia, where they were living with family. Alexis came home from work to find their dog running out with a bandana around his neck that read, “Will You Marry My Dad?” Following closely behind was Brian, down on one knee in the driveway, ready to ask the most important question of their lives. Alexis had chosen her engagement ring herself, a precautionary measure she felt necessary, and Brian had kept it safe for four months before finding the perfect moment to propose.

Alexis looks forward to creating an album and displaying these beautiful engagement photos in their home, sharing their happiness with friends and family. The couple is now eagerly planning a destination wedding in the Caribbean, drawn by the allure of water views and a memorable getaway. They are most excited about celebrating their special day surrounded by loved ones in such a picturesque setting, incorporating relaxed beach vibes and light colors to match the serene beauty of the location.
