Eric brought Kirsten to Colonial Park for his proposal on a lazy Saturday so they could “take the dog for a walk.” It seemed like a completely normal, ordinary day; just a walk in the park. Not at all like one of the most life altering days of their lives.
We all arrived at the planned spot and their pup, Zoey, was very curious about what Eric had in his bag. Surely it was something for her, right? He got down on one knee and popped the question.
After the shock wore off Kirsten said her spidey sense was tingling. Apparently Eric had changed his outfit multiple times that morning. One of the biggest things I hear from newly minted fiancées is that the guy was acting unusual in that he kept changing his outfits, so she knew something was up.
Here’s some favorites from their summer proposal at Colonial Park.

Looking back on this moment, they called it “one of our few bright spots in 2020.”
When did you realize your partner was “the one”?
“After a few long distance dates. I’ll never forget the feelings I had seeing her in the rearview mirror as I went back to school or seeing her taillights drive down the highway.”
Sign of the times right there.
“Following Kirsten’s guidance and learning her preferences though over a hundred internet tab samples, the ring was selected after hours of shopping and in-store comparison that culminated in what Eric soon found out would be one of the most nervous moments of his otherwise shameless life.”
Zoey had to steal the show for a couple of shots, of course.
