Daniel and Mary’s proposal at Leonard J. Buck Garden could not have been on a more picturesque spring day. Their story began with a chance meeting at a bar through mutual friends, quickly followed by a memorable first date that included dinner—and an unexpected introduction to Daniel’s parents that same night. What could have been intimidating turned into something special, setting the tone for a relationship where they both feel completely at ease with one another.

From the very beginning, their connection felt effortless. Whether they’re spending time playing video games, going for walks, sharing meals, or simply watching movies together, Daniel and Mary have built a relationship rooted in comfort and companionship. It’s easy to see, their love is full of laughter—fueled by their shared goofiness—and a deep understanding of each other. As they both described it, their relationship felt special from the start, almost like they had known each other forever. They bring out the best in each other, as any good relationship does.

The proposal itself was a beautiful full-circle moment. Early in their relationship, Daniel had taken Mary to Leonard J. Buck Garden on a surprise date, where they snapped photos in front of a gazebo that would later become the exact spot where he got down on one knee. While Mary had a feeling a proposal was coming—especially after being told to keep her nails done and dress nicely—she was still completely shocked when the moment finally happened. The surprise continued with a celebration at Daniel’s parents’ home, where friends and family gathered to share in the excitement of their engagement.

Their proposal photos will soon fill a long-awaited blank space on their bedroom wall—a perfect reminder of such a meaningful day.
