First of all, shooting Kelsey and Andy’s wedding in Lambertville Station Inn has to be one of the most comfortable I’ve ever shot. Like a cozy blanket you’ve treasured since you were a kid. You know how you look at a couple and you just know that even on their wedding day they managed to stay true to themselves? Well, that’s Kelsey and Andy to a capital T.
Their lovely wedding in Lambertville New Jersey was intimate because of all the family members by their side on that day. Everything was so beautiful but didn’t have that ‘planned’ feel that can shift the focus away from the bride and groom. Seriously, her bouquet has to be one of my favorites just because it is so unique! And the thematic colors mixed with the bridal party’s suits and dresses? So summer appropriate you almost couldn’t feel the summer heat. And if you did feel the heat? Don’t worry your pretty face, Kelsey and Andy thought of that too.
Even with all those little details, you can’t take your eyes off the couple. Their glow transcended that day even more so than I could capture. I don’t know if I ever would have stopped shooting their portraits. Unfortunately, the ceremony was about to start, so we had to get a moving.
Most of all – Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Clawson. And thanks so much for having me be a part of your day as your wedding photographer. Enough of that! Scroll through their photos and start living vicariously through them!
