Dan and Kristen’s love story came full circle with a heartfelt proposal in March at Washington Rock State Park—the very spot where they shared their second date, and what they consider their first “real” date during the height of the pandemic. Bundled up and braving the cold back in December 2020, they sat outside a local pizzeria during their first date, shivering through slices and conversation. It was a humble, unforgettable beginning that turned into something so much bigger over time.

Since then, their relationship has grown through shared laughter, quirky routines, and sweet everyday moments. Whether they’re watching reality TV (fondly dubbed “garbage TV”), hunting for treasures at thrift shops, or sending each other ridiculous memes, Dan and Kristen have built a life full of lightheartedness and love. Their connection is easy and genuine—balanced by Dan’s steady presence and Kristen’s humor and warmth. It’s a bond that feels natural, silly, and deeply grounded.

Dan chose to propose on their anniversary, incorporating not just a sentimental location, but a joyful celebration afterward with both of their families. Kristen had shared the ring style she’d dreamed of for over a decade, and Dan worked with a jeweler to have it custom made—an extra thoughtful touch that made the moment all the more meaningful. Somehow, despite her suspicions, the surprise remained intact, and her reaction was pure joy.

With plans to frame their favorite photos and use them for save-the-dates, Dan and Kristen are excited to keep this moment close as they plan their next chapter together. Congratulations to this sweet and spirited couple—we’re so happy to have captured such a special day!
