Evan and Maddy’s love story began in college, where they met through mutual friends and quickly became inseparable. From their first, slightly chaotic, date at Bar Louie to the countless laughs they’ve shared over the years, their relationship has been filled with joy, humor, and deep connection. Whether they’re binge-watching their favorite shows like Monk or New Girl, spending cozy days reading, or snuggling with their beloved puppy, their bond is undeniable.
Evan proposed to Maddy on August 28, 2024, at Bethany Beach, a place that holds sentimental value to Evan’s family. Maddy, who had become part of this family tradition, was completely surprised when Evan got down on one knee after a dinner and photo session on the beach. Although the official ring wasn’t ready in time, Evan proposed with a sweet blue topaz ring from the boardwalk, which they plan to use as their “something blue” on their wedding day.
Their engagement session took place at the scenic Washington Crossing Historic Park in October, a location that holds special meaning to the couple. During the early days of their relationship, Washington Crossing became a halfway meeting point, where they would enjoy walks, sit on benches, and just spend time together. Since the timing coincided with covid, it was a place they could enjoy being outside. The park’s serene and beautiful surroundings made it the perfect backdrop for their engagement photos.
For Evan and Maddy, their engagement photo shoot felt like falling in love all over again. Amid the hustle and bustle of life, the session gave them the chance to pause, reflect, and simply be in the moment with each other. They plan to use these photos for their save-the-date cards and wedding website, forever capturing the memories of this beautiful day.
Their wedding is set for next October at Lambertville Station Restaurant and Inn, a venue that carries just as much meaning as Washington Crossing. Nestled along the Delaware River, Lambertville is another place where Evan and Maddy often met for walks and dinner dates. During their venue tour, Maddy was overcome with emotion at how beautiful the space was, and they knew instantly that it was the perfect place to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
As they look ahead to their wedding, Evan and Maddy are excited to make new memories with their loved ones, to laugh and dance the night away, and to celebrate their incredible journey together.
Congratulations, Evan and Maddy! We can’t wait to capture more of your love story next October!
