Tinicum Park, October Engagement Photos- Upper Black Eddy, PA

Engagements

October brought the perfect combination of crisp air and vibrant foliage as I joined Marissa and Steve for their engagement session at Tinicum Park in Upper Black Eddy, PA. Their session was set against a backdrop of peak fall colors that beautifully reflected their rustic, elegant wedding theme, creating a truly picturesque scene for these two.

Marissa and Steve’s journey began in a modern way—through a chance connection on Bumble. Their first date, a cozy evening at Verve in Somerville, led them from engaging conversation to a memorable night with friends at Hotel Bar, where Steve instantly became part of the crew. Since then, they’ve been inseparable, enjoying everything from evening gym sessions and motorcycle rides to quiet moments at home with their beloved cat, Purrogi. The couple’s love for each other deepened during a memorable trip to Miami, where they realized they had found “the one” in each other. Built on honesty and open communication from the very beginning, their relationship has brought them a profound sense of peace and trust, forming a solid foundation for their future together.

Steve planned a thoughtful proposal during a surprise birthday weekend for Marissa in Cape May, NJ—one of their favorite shore destinations. They spent the day exploring the town, shopping, and savoring the sunny October weather. As the day wound down, they strolled along the beach at sunset, snapping photos of the breathtaking colors until Steve surprised Marissa with the moment of a lifetime. Dropping to one knee on the quiet beach, he asked her to spend forever with him, creating an intimate, joyful memory that will always hold a special place in their hearts.

Marissa and Steve chose Tinicum Park for their engagement photos to match their rustic, fall-inspired wedding vision. With an abundance of options for incredible shots—red barns, a stone house, and a glistening river framed by golden tree lines—the location felt like the perfect fit. Their timing with the peak autumn colors brought a warm glow to every photo, adding a timeless beauty that mirrored the couple’s deep connection.

This winter, Marissa and Steve are planning to redecorate their living room and master bedroom, where their engagement photos will become cherished decor. These photos will also mark the beginning of a collection, as they look forward to adding wedding photos to these spaces in the years to come.

The two have found their ideal venue at The Reserve at Perona Farms. With elements that blend rustic charm and elegant touches, like stone and wood accents and seasonal ingredients from the on-site greenhouse, the venue reflects their unique style. Their color palette of dusty blue and burnt orange, accented by pumpkins and apple cider donuts, will bring out the cozy charm of fall. When their wedding day arrives, Marissa and Steve are most looking forward to celebrating with loved ones. Marissa plans to hit the dance floor while Steve shares a celebratory cigar with friends, creating memories to look back on for a lifetime.
