Kelly & Matt’s wedding was the epitome of summer. A Friday, down the shore in Asbury Park. I believe the Spotify 90’s summer hits playlist was on at some point that day too. Their wedding day was just a little extra special for me because I’ve known this bride and groom for many years. I went to high school with the groom’s sister and have hung out with them at New Years Eve parties and backyard BBQ’s. Kelly has felt like part of the family since the day I met her so the wedding was just making it official to the rest of the world.
When you meet Kelly and Matt, they are one of those couples that you just know are meant to be. They are kind, sweet and loving to each other. The way Matt talks about Kelly when she’s not in the room, you can tell he has so much respect for the person she is and clearly knows a good thing when he’s got it. Kelly looks at Matt with this adorable smile on her face and it all just feels right.
The couple really wanted their guests to enjoy their day celebrating as the two families came together. The focus on the wedding has always been, ‘how can we make it the best day for our best people?’ I’d say we accomplished that goal!
It was an honor to be asked to capture this day for such a sweet couple! Enjoy a few of my favorites from their wedding at The Asbury Hotel!
