Newlyweds Jessie and Andrew met the truly old-fashioned way – at a local bar! I didn’t know that even happened anymore!
It’s fitting that the couple met this way, as they love everything vintage. Together, they explore quaint, historic towns, go antiquing, and cruise around in Andrew’s old truck.
One of their other favorite activities is going to the beach together to take walks and look for sea glass, which is exactly what they were doing right before Andrew proposed! While the proposal was a total surprise to Jessie, Andrew certainly planned ahead.
Though the bride says she is more detail-oriented and her husband is more big-picture, he certainly pulled off quite a surprise for her. He sneakily measured her rings while she was at work and paid close attention to any slight hints Jessie gave about her jewelry preferences. Turns out, he did a pretty good job.
On their annual family vacation, he planned fake dinner reservations – and a fake delay from the restaurant – to make sure Jessie was dressed up and completely unsuspecting when he suggested a lovely walk on the beach to kill time.
On a beautiful secluded section of the beach at St. Maarten, he proposed at sunset. The couple then celebrated with Jessie’s family with lots of champagne and dinner on the water.
With such a thoughtful and well-planned proposal to kick things off, it’s no wonder the newlyweds had such a beautiful wedding! The Inn at Millrace Pond fit their love of old towns and antiques with the Millhouse and farmhouse on the property.
The venue offered plenty of rooms to keep the bridal party and family close, which was important for the couple. After all, they said that bringing their families together and celebrating with the most important people in their lives is the thing they were looking forward to the most about their wedding.
Congratulations Jessie and Andrew! Check out some of the best photos from the big day below!
