Julia and Paul’s love story is one right out of a rom-com. They met at Julia’s college roommate’s wedding 6 years ago. I can just imagine it now, Paul pretending to not stare, Julia, asking around to find out more about the cute guy across the ballroom. Initially, geographical complications kept them apart, but after Julia relocated to California they reconnected and fate once again took over.
They love cooking together and have found their rhythm while in the kitchen. The old “opposites attract” expression seems to fit perfectly for them. Julia says she is a little high-strung and business-oriented and Paul is laid-back. For Julia, finding someone who can help her relax has made all the difference.
This bride and groom are having 2 weddings! This one was at the church Julia grew up attending, St. Brigids in Far Hills just with their large immediate families. Having so many little nieces and nephews, they kept things simple with a ceremony at the church and lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then, in the spring, they will have the big blow out in California at the Santa Barbara Zoo! How fitting that St. Brigid is the patron saint of brides. Some stories just feel like it was all meant to be.
It was an honor to have the opportunity to work with this sweet family again. I photographed Julia’s family 3 years prior and since then, even more nieces and nephews have arrived! Let’s keep this trend going!
