Gina and Landon’s love story began through a mutual connection that was much closer to home than either of them expected. Landon was part of Gina’s brother’s friend group, and over time their friendship grew into something more. One of their favorite early relationship stories is when Gina asked Landon to be her plus-one to a wedding and he actually said no—a response that probably seemed surprising at the time, but has since become one of those funny stories they look back on together.
Their spring wedding day may have brought plenty of rain, but it didn’t to dampen the celebration. Pun intended. Gina spent the morning getting ready at Landon’s parents’ house before the couple exchanged vows during a beautiful church ceremony surrounded by family and friends.
By the time everyone arrived at the reception, the focus had shifted from the weather outside to the incredible energy inside. Gina and Landon were surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends who came ready to celebrate. The dance floor stayed packed throughout the night, the atmosphere every couple hopes for on their wedding day. From start to finish, it was clear how loved these two are by everyone around them and they deserved every bit of it.
The Palace at Somerset Park provided the perfect setting for Gina and Landon’s wedding day. This was my first time back at the venue since its recent renovations, and the updates completely transformed the space. The refreshed design gives the venue a more modern and elevated feel while still maintaining the elegance that has made it a favorite wedding venue in central NJ for years.
One of the biggest advantages of The Palace—especially on a rainy day—is the variety of beautiful indoor spaces available for portraits. Even with less-than-ideal weather, there were countless opportunities to create stunning images throughout the property. The newly expanded cocktail hour space was one of my favorite additions from the renovation project. Because the area is covered, we were able to take advantage of the outdoor setting while staying protected from the rain, creating some beautiful portraits with soft natural light.
Rain or shine, The Palace at Somerset Park offers an incredible wedding experience, and Gina and Landon’s celebration was a perfect example of how a little rain can make a wedding day feel even more memorable.
