Shadowbrook at Shrewsbury, Spring wedding photos- Shrewsbury, NJ

The couple first met while both attending The College Of New Jersey. They were friends for a long time before Jim finally asked Aileen if she wanted to go on a date. In fact, their first date was on Valentine’s day in Philadelphia. They had dinner and then went out dancing at a piano bar. Aileen told me that it had snowed and her feet hurt so bad from wearing heels so she decided to run shoe-less through the slush with Jim. At the end of the night, Jim told Aileen he loved her. Their story sounds like something out of a fairytale book.

One Christmas Eve while both Alieen and Jim were with their family, Jim decided it was the perfect night to propose. He later told me the actual proposal is a bit of a blur to him and that he might have blacked out from nervousness, but at some point, he did get down on one knee and ask Aileen to marry him. I hope someone recorded that to remind Jim what he said haha.

Aileen & Jim asked me to capture their wedding in March 2021 but as you might imagine, covid had other plans so we pushed back to December 2021. You may remember, also not a great time for gathering in large groups. We finally finished what we started in April 2022 and boy, was it worth the wait! They finally got to celebrate with all their friends and family. Dancing with their guest was the part of the wedding they were most looking forward to, especially after having to wait over a year to do so.
