Engagement Session Location | Lambertville, NJ

Located right on the Delaware River and across from New Hope, PA, Lambertville has no shortage of beautiful and unique spots for your engagement session. Since I work with many couples getting married at Lambertville Station Inn, I’m familiar with the locations right around the venue but there is so much more to explore that even couples who will have their wedding day portraits there will have plenty of new spots to discover.

The property at Lambertville Station consists of not only the Inn (hotel and ballroom) but also the Lambertville Station Restaurant. This train car, as part of the restaurant, is a fun spot for portraits either for the wedding day or for an engagement session.

The iconic Lambertville Station sign.

A view from the Lambertville – New Hope bridge with the Delaware River as our backdrop. I’m not usually a fan of shooting on the bridge for wedding days (have you seen it on a Saturday?!); for an engagement session during a more quiet time I’m all about it!

Downtown Lambertville has so much to offer including the canal which runs parallel to the Delaware River.

Like I’d pass that up on a spring session?!

Lots of adorable wrought iron fences around town.

Naturally, a little bridge photobomb is bound to happen.

Like any good downtown, some mural art.

Probably my favorite part of having engagement sessions in Lambertville is the perfect mix of downtown charm and natural landscapes.

The tow path never disappoints.

Even in the off season, the bridge and river are a go-to.

I call this my “something blue” wall because there’s just something about painted brick, everyone looks great in front of it.

Bet you didn’t see this one coming. An old train car has been adorned with the expression of some local artists.

The classic architecture will always feel timeless looking back on it in 5, 10, or 50 years.

The amount of completely different looking background we can hit up in a 90 minute session is only made possible because the town is so easily walkable.

If you’d prefer to dress a tad fancier, this is a place you can get away with it for a “night on the town” kind of look.

Shot in August, there are still plenty of flowers still blooming.

Many couples like to include their dogs in the engagement session and Lambertville is a great place to make that happen.

Miko was very well behaved for the session, maybe treats were involved.

I’m Jenna. I photograph the happy stuff in and around central New Jersey. When I’m not capturing a wedding day or family moment, I’m usually scouring the nearest Trader Joe’s for a new & exciting find!
