Late nights working on group projects during their time at Rider University, where this proposal session took place, are what first had Lee and Kelsey noticing a spark, and they could not have been more right! During their first date at Chimneyrock in Bridgewater, they got so lost in conversation they almost forgot to order any food!
That talking hasn’t stopped – Lee and Kelsey have been talking about getting engaged and married since the beginning of their relationship! After they renovated their first home together, which they lovingly refer to as The Cottage, Kelsey knew she was ready to get engaged. Lee knew that he wanted his proposal to exceed Kelsey’s expectations. Kelsey values memories made with the people she loves most. So, on July 8th, when they got their puppy Emmy, Lee asked Kelsey’s parents for permission to marry their daughter. With her mom and best friend Melissa, Lee planned a scavenger hunt down memory lane at Rider in the fall for Kelsey. It had them stopping at different locations around campus where they had so many memories. It was fitting for the last stop of the hunt to be at the gazebo because of the beautiful lake behind it, the perfect place to propose. So fitting to do this where it all began.
I can’t wait to see where they put their gorgeous prints of this amazing proposal in The Cottage. I know they will love looking back at photos of memories they made. Can’t wait for the engagement session with these two!
