Orchard Proposal – Conor & Stacy

On a beautiful, and very hot, summer day, Conor had an idea to pop the question with a surprise proposal at Sun High Orchard in Randolph, NJ. The plan was that they were going to meet Stacy’s parents at their house for dinner, but he was going to “forget” the dessert. Being so conveniently close to the orchard, he was going to pop over there to grab a pie and have her come along.

The Groom-to-be and I scoped out an area of the orchard that was a bit more secluded for them to have their private moment. Then the plan would begin. Although he was a bit nervous, Conor beautifully executed the plan. They walked through the orchard on their way to “buy a pie” and he stopped in to the secret spot and popped the question.

This is the part where he starts saying really cute things and she begins to realize what’s about to happen.

 Most of my couples tell me they black out a little at this part. The excitement and nerves take over and all they have now are the photos.

I love the look on Conor’s face here. Such a genuine moment of pure engaged bliss.

Funny story about the gentleman photobombing the background. He was one of the owners of the farm and since Stacey grew up just across the street from the farm, they’ve know each other since she was just a little kid. He had heard that someone had asked permission to propose at the farm but didn’t realize it was Conor and Stacey until this moment! We had a good chuckle about it afterwards.
