Since I beautifully captured their wedding and maternity photos (their words not mine!), Bethany, Ken, and new kid on the block, Rafi, knew they had to come back to me for their family session. We trust each other completely, and they knew the photos would capture their personalities! Their ultimate goal was to get a great portrait of the whole family – including kitty – and we succeeded!
Being first-time parents, Bethany and Ken were a little nervous about scheduling a family session with a baby, but I was able to work with them around Rafi’s schedule and naptimes to make everyone feel most comfortable. We also did it at their house – no travel involved and seeing the places they play every day with Rafi made the photos special. Bethany and Ken were also smart about their prep for the session as they brewed a giant pot of coffee after a long night with baby!
Seeing their son experience things for the first time and doing absolutely anything to hear his giggle are this family’s favorite things about having a new baby. We were able to capture a ton of moments like this, and they are going to display a family portrait on their walls at hom, give prints to family for Christmas, and have some more of the photos on display on their mantel. I love that they already have a vision of how they will enjoy their images and use them to decorate their home! Check out some favorites from the session below.
