Montclair Winter Proposal – Gareth & Hannah

Gareth’s winter proposal to Hannah took place at a Van Vleck Gardens, a beautiful Mediterranean-style villa built in 1916 located in Montclair, NJ. While currently Philly residents, Gareth knew he wanted to propose to his fiancee to be in her home town of Montclair. Gareth and I met up a couple weeks before the big proposal to scope out the grounds of Van Vleck Gardens and figure out what location would be just right for the proposal. We had 2 back up plans just in case, but thankfully plan A worked just as planned!

Gareth loved the beautiful columns and the classic architecture of the building and really wanted that incorporated into the scene when he asked Hannah to be his wife.

Spotted! I think he loved getting to surprise her twice, once with the ring and again having a professional photographer at the proposal!

Even after the engagement ring is on the finger of its rightful owner the shock still hasn’t settled in.

Hannah couldn’t get enough of her ring, and who could blame her?! I just love the look on her face.

Pro tip guys: Be like Gareth and ask me to bring some champagne. It’s a great touch, but your lady might get a little suspicious if you try hiding it away yourself.
