Mercer County Park, Summer Engagement Photos- West Windsor, NJ

Amanda and Joe’s engagement session at Mercer County Park in West Windsor, NJ, was a beautiful celebration of their love story and a nod to the place they call home. The couple first met in college at the University at Buffalo in 2018 but remained friends until reconnecting in 2020 during a hike in South Jersey. Despite the limitations of COVID, their first date was filled with catching up and laughter, setting the stage for their deepening relationship.

The couple enjoys a range of activities together, from playing with their dog Keene and going on Target dates to indulging in Chipotle and binge-watching series. They also love attending sporting events. Joe, described as a goofball, constantly makes Amanda laugh and reminds her to enjoy life. Amanda, with her random sayings and playful nature, brings endless joy to Joe and their beloved furbaby Keene. Their bond is solidified by their shared value of family, making them each other’s best friends and perfect partners.

Joe proposed to Amanda in Princeton, NJ, in January 2024, the day before his birthday. This clever timing ensured Amanda was completely surprised. Joe had meticulously planned the proposal, even creating a fake event flyer for a sports show in Princeton to lure Amanda to the location. After getting the approval of both families, Joe executed the proposal flawlessly, with their families and Amanda’s best friend waiting to celebrate at home. The location was significant as it reminded Amanda of her favorite movie, “A Cinderella Story,” where the main character’s dad tells her that princesses go where the princes go—Princeton.

The creation of the engagement ring reflects Joe’s thoughtfulness and support from his family. Amanda gave Joe an idea of the diamond shape she wanted, and with the help of his brother, sister-in-law, and the jeweler, Joe selected the perfect ring. The couple is excited to cherish their proposal photos forever, a beautiful reminder of their journey together and the love they share.
