Fall Backyard Wedding, Intimate Wedding Photos- Haddonfield, NJ

Beth and Michael’s September wedding was an intimate celebration, perfectly reflective of their love for family, laughter, and the beauty of everyday moments. Held at Beth’s home, the backyard provided a warm and familiar setting, where the couple exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. From the very beginning, their relationship was filled with unexpected moments, starting with their first date at Rexy’s Restaurant and Bar, where a Mummers parade unexpectedly made its way through the venue. They still laugh about it today, a perfect reflection of how their relationship has been—unpredictable and always fun.

After their second date at Joe’s Crab Shack, they both knew they had found something special. Beth recalls laughing together the entire night, while Michael was charmed by her carefree attitude as she cracked and slurped crabs, unafraid to get messy. It was then they realized they were meant to be, sharing an undeniable connection.

Michael’s proposal was as memorable as it was heartfelt. On a particularly hot day, after attending a graduation party for his nephew, Michael orchestrated a surprise engagement at Beth’s home, with their friends and family waiting to celebrate. Though he was stressed about keeping the surprise, everything went off perfectly. Beth said yes, of course, surrounded by the people she loves the most.  Michael couldn’t have planned it any better!

When it came to planning their wedding, Beth’s backyard quickly became the obvious choice. Not only was it a beautiful and personal space, but it also brought a sense of comfort and familiarity. Their ceremony felt candid and heartfelt, with personal vows that spoke to the deep connection they share. For both Beth and Michael, the ceremony was the most special part of the day, as they promised their love to each other in front of the people who have supported them throughout their journey. It was also so lovely to see some unplanned participation from the audience which showed how thrilled everyone was to see these two lovebirds become husband and wife.

Laughter is a key part of Beth and Michael’s relationship, and it was woven throughout their wedding day. Beth adores Michael’s ability to make up outrageous stories with a straight face, while Michael finds endless amusement in Beth’s habit of putting things in “safe places” that are often hard to find later. These lighthearted quirks are part of what makes their bond so special—always keeping things fun and never taking life too seriously.

This day marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives, full of love, laughter, and cherished memories shared with the people they hold closest to their hearts. Congratulations Beth and Michael!
