From a chilly March night stargazing after their first dinner date to a post-college, long-distance relationship that only strengthened their bond, their journey has always been marked by friendship, laughter, and an unshakable connection.

Their proposal, fittingly unforgettable, took place during a return trip to Santorini—one of their favorite travel memories. After a decoy sunset dinner filled with other couples’ engagements, Connor completely surprised Kalyn by proposing the next day in the middle of the sea during a private boat ride. With her hair up in a bun and no fancy outfit in sight, Kalyn said yes through tears and laughter. Later that week, they took formal engagement photos to commemorate the moment—proof that even spontaneous, windswept proposals can be pure magic.

When it came time to choose their wedding venue, Forest Lodge felt like a natural fit. Not only did it match their vision with its open layout and indoor-outdoor feel, but it also held a sweet dose of nostalgia—it was the same property where they had their sixth-grade class picnic. With eucalyptus florals, vintage mauve bridesmaid dresses, and grey suits with matching ties and socks for the groomsmen, the day had a soft, romantic palette that perfectly complemented the warm spring setting.
