Melissa and Mike were beyond excited to have their wedding day captured at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club! After a stunning fall engagement session in Princeton, they knew these memories would be something they would look back on, long after their wedding day, for the rest of their lives.
Their wedding day was a little extra fun for me, too! Melissa and I grew up in the same neighborhood, so I already knew a lot of the guests and bridal party. So many familiar faces! Since everyone was already so comfortable, we made the most of it and got such great shots because of it.
I’m so excited to finally share these photos from Melissa and Mike’s big day!

When your future husband steals your heart again, just before walking down the aisle, with a gorgeous pair of diamond stud earrings.
This couple knew that they wanted their wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club as soon as they saw it. They took advantage of their love for this spectacular venue and did everything there- including getting ready.
Getting ready with her Mom and sister by her side, it was such a special moment for this bride.
Mixing modern and classic elements is always a win, and Melissa nailed that vibe.
The story of how these two love birds met is one I haven’t heard before. Mike fell for his yoga instructor, Melissa, within moments of meeting her. I think everyone can see why!
Being the gentleman that he is, Mike had a dozen roses and a bottle of wine ready for his future bride when he picked her up for their first date. Needless to say, she fell pretty quickly too!
Tons of happy tears seeing her Dad for the first time as a bride. Spoiler alert: Dad cried too.
The dapper dudes.
The beautiful bridesmaids.
This groom is so present for everything he does- it’s really refreshing. The first look with his wife was no different. He was soaking up every moment of seeing her as his bride for the first time.
We had to take advantage of the classic stonework on the buildings during this wedding at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club. How gorgeous is this couple in this portrait?!
“We support each other, bring out the best in each other, and encourage each other to be better in everything we do.”
Melissa is a big fan of sunflowers, so we couldn’t pass up this opportunity!
Taking advantage of the stunning grounds at Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club!
Mike thinks Melissa is hilarious, charming, caring, and beautiful. She’s perfect in every way.
Melissa thinks Mike has the best sense of humor and makes her laugh more than anyone. He is kind, supportive, encouraging, and honest.
The groom’s uncle officiated the wedding. Always a nice touch when you can include family members in your special day.
The groom’s three sisters did a reading during the ceremony, and it’s safe to say everyone was touched.
Congrats, Melissa & Mike! Finally husband and wife!
The bride decided to save the veil just for the ceremony. It was fun to see a different look for her between the portraits and the ceremony; it added a special touch as they exchanged vows.
The bride and groom was beyond excited about the food during their Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club wedding.
Once all the formalities are behind us, it’s party time!
This dad and daughter duo continued with the happy tears from the first look as they shared an emotional first dance.
There was one guest at the wedding who wasn’t invited. A hot air balloon landed on the golf course during the reception! Fiddlers Elbow Country Club is just a few miles from the site of the annual Balloon Festival and their wedding day happened to fall on that weekend. There was lots of chatter about the ballon; did someone arrange for a Tuxedo balloon to land at their wedding? Who has that kind of pull?! Despite all the rumors it was pure luck and serendipity. I happen to think it was a peace offering from the universe. The couple went through quite a lot having to reschedule from 2020.
Melissa and Mike will tell stories about this for years to come! Having a hot air balloon land during your wedding reception is certainly not something everyone can brag about. Thank goodness it came dressed appropriately, bow tie and all.
Let’s get this party started!!
Our bride’s niece was able to steal a dance with her! Who wouldn’t love to shake it to Baby by Justin Bieber?!
Melissa changed into a second dress later into the reception. Another stunner!
A personal pizza to take home, courtesy of Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club? Best wedding ever.
After 4+ hours of an open bar and a ton of great music, there is really no explaining this. Let the music move you.
My favorite wedding band, Hoi Polloi, kept the party going all night long. So much FUN!
I wish Melissa and Mike a lifetime of great food, adventures, and lazy Sundays together. It was so much fun to celebrate with the two of you!
