Family Session Location | East Jersey Old Town Village Piscataway, NJ

Located in Piscataway, NJ, East Jersey Old Town Village is an open-air museum perfect for family sessions. It is filled with historic original and replicated 18th and 19th century buildings. It is quite the hidden gem and I’ve always found the location to be pretty quiet, which can be helpful to anyone a little nervous about having their photo taken.

For a family session of five, I always like to make sure I give each child their own, unique looking portrait. Even better if I can let each child choose their own special location. Because East Jersey Old Town has so much to offer, we have plenty to choose from.

While the unique colonial-styled buildings are certainly the main attraction, the landscaping certainly compliments it nicely.

If the kids aren’t so interested in sitting still, we can also capture their essence on the move. Cross Estate Gardens is a safe place for the adventuresome ones to run around.

In the fall, the foliage can really add a nice warm feeling to the family photos.
