Fall Wedding at Lake Mohawk Country Club- Emily & Tim

Tim and Emily had a blast at their Lake Mohawk Country Club wedding, despite the crisp November day. Of course, nothing was going to rain on their parade – or wedding day! Despite being a beautiful scene, the bride and groom chose this location because it’s reminiscent of Emily’s parents lake house in Vermont. It’s a special place where she spent her summers as a kid and also a place she and Tim spend a lot of time at together, fishing and relaxing on the beach.

Tim was actually my neighbor growing up, and it was so fun to be a part of this couple’s day as an “insider.” Loved getting to hang out with this family that I’ve gotten to know over the years on this happy occasion of him marrying his beautiful bride, Emily!

The bright and beautiful “Bride’s Tower” – I think every bride should have a tower, right?! – provided the most stunning natural light. Fantastic for getting ready photos.

Tim proposed to Emily at her parents lake house over the 4th of July weekend in 2020. They were taking a walk after breakfast and found a little private section of the beach where he popped the question! It was just the two of them, so it was intimate and special.  He did a great job at catching her by complete surprise! He picked the ring out all by himself and Emily admits he did a really good job!

Popping bubbly in your very own renaissance-esque tower at Lake Mohawk Country Club on the morning of your wedding? I’d call that a WIN.

The view just beyond those windows was showing off – framing these beautiful ladies perfectly.

Working hard or hardly working? The guys had time for a game of cornhole while the ladies prepped for the ceremony.

Our groom, Tim, gave his bride, Emily, a beautiful necklace to wear as she walked down the aisle to him.

I suppose they call this tall people problems…

We took advantage of the brief break from the rain and snagged a few shots outside. Only your best friends brave rough weather for a shot like this. I’d say it was 100% worth it!

This couple was super emotional for their first look.  I was so honored to be a part of such an intimate, sweet moment between these two.

Emily’s favorite things about Tim are his can-do & positive attitude and outlook on life, how special he treats her every single day, his patience and his adventurous mind!

Tim’s favorite thing about Emily are her supportive and positive spirit. She gets excited every time he walk in the door, and every single one of his crazy idea she will support to the ends of the earth.

Find someone who looks at you like Emily looks at Tim.

Emily’s dad gave her a bracelet as a wedding gift, and her reaction was priceless. There’s a very special bond between these two.

So glad we were able to take advantage of another small break in the rain to grab some outdoor shots!

For better or worse, for richer or poorer, for totally goofy or not… that’s how it goes, right? I love that Emily accepts Tim for exactly who he is.

These giant windows overlooking the lake at Lake Mohawk Country Club are what wedding ceremony dreams are made of.

So cozy in this intimate ceremony space. I’m loving that sunset glow on Emily’s face.

Tim, Emily, and I had many conversations about the timing of their ceremony to catch the sunset through these stunning windows. We NAILED it.

Emily and Tim were rewarded at the end of a rainy day with the skies opening up to a gorgeous sunset. We took full advantage!

When your dad tells the story of how stubborn you were when you were little… we all had a good chuckle.

Loved taking a moment with this family I’ve known for so long to have a little fun. I won’t drink on the job, but I’ll dance on the job!

Tim tried to smash some cake in Emily’s face. Emily was having none of it. Go you, Emily!
