Elegant Winter Wedding – Nicole & Ray

Fate brought them together, but unconditional love made it stick! Ray and Nicole tied the knot with an elegant winter wedding in Asbury Park, N.J.

Ray was apartment shopping in January of 2016 when he stumbled upon a beautiful luxury apartment community in Somerville, NJ called The Edge at Main. He toured the community and absolutely loved it until he found out that this community wasn’t pet-friendly. On his way out, he saw Nicole. But nothing came of this initial meeting and both Nicole and Ray went on with their lives.

Fast forward to May. It’s Friday the 13th, which is typically a day where weird things happen. Instead, something magical happened. Ray was dining with friends in Somerville when he noticed a woman walk in. The woman looked familiar to him, but he wasn’t sure where he knew her from. You guessed it – it was Nicole! After taking her seat near by, she looked to her right and noticed a man who looked very familiar to her as well. She wasn’t too sure where she knew him from, but she had a thought that he may have toured The Edge at Main.

As the night went on, Ray and Nicole kept exchanging smiles, but no one said a word. This went on until Ray and his friends decided to leave. soon after, Nicole left as well and decided that her next stop would be a local bar right down the street.

As soon as Nicole opened the door, the first person she saw was Ray. It was FATE! And yes, the flirting continued! While Nicole was waiting for her turn in the bathroom, one of Ray’s friends approached her and asked her name. He then invited Nicole for a drink with him and his friends, including Ray. She considered a moment, but decided to head back to her spot instead. After more consideration, she knew she had nothing to lose by accepting the invitation, so she walked over.

Nicole and Ray finally met. They finally put pieces of the puzzle together on how they met, which, in fact, was because of his tour at The Edge back in January.

The two were really hitting it off and decided decided it was time to get a bite to eat. Nicole, Ray, and his friends walked up the street to a pizzeria in town where the fun continued!

When the night ended, Ray walked Nicole back to her car. Going out on a limb, Ray decided to ask Nicole out on a date the next evening. Nicole accepted, and the rest is history!

Nearly three years later, Ray and Nicole made it official at the Berkeley Oceanfront Hotel in Asbury Park, NJ. Here are just a few of my favs from the day!

Ray and Nicole’s furbaby, Einstein, kept the guys in line during prep.

While Ray’s earlier career took him to professional baseball, his latest “home run” is his lifestyle brand, Digmi.

Each of the groomsmen, and Ray himself, wore Vans to compliment their tailored suits. Einstein was bored and just wanted to et to the fun part!

Nicole’s bridesmaids wore a beautiful hunter green, perfect color for an elegant winter wedding.

Ray had to include his love for baseball on one of the most important days of is life.
