Bouman-Stickney Farmstead, Spring Family Photos- Stanton, NJ

Gathered at the picturesque Bouman-Stickney Farmstead, we were in for a session filled with lots of smiles and love. With both sets of grandparents in town to celebrate their son’s first birthday, it was a rare opportunity to capture the entire family together.

The parents were initially nervous about the session, especially concerning their one year old sons cooperation and the unpredictable weather. However, armed with some guidance from me on clothing choices (which they arranged beautifully!) and a determination to “roll with it,” they approached the day with excitement and optimism.

Their session was a blend of portrait with grandparents along with just the newly formed family of 3. From candid shots with everyone to heartfelt moments between grandparents and the baby, the session beautifully reflected the affection that binds this multigenerational family together.

As for the one year old, his lively personality shone through the lens. From his mischievous antics to his infectious laughter, he brought joy to every frame. Although tantrums may be on the horizon as he enters the toddler phase, his parents are ready to face the challenges with plenty of tricks and some snacks as needed.

After the session, the family planned to display their photos on a dedicated photo wall and shared them with the grandparents, ensuring that these precious memories would be treasured for years to come.
