Deanna & Max decided on Lambertville for their spring engagement session, with its beautiful views and tiny streets and hidden gems. They loved the versatility of the shots and locations, plus it was an added bonus that her parents are from the area, so it was a nice homage to them. With these engagement photos, they plan to decorate their wedding venue and home!
These two had quite the meet cute, meeting on a cruise ship a few years back. On the ship, they decided to go to a karaoke night, where Max decided to be bold and sing the almost 6 minute song “Bohemian Rhapsody.” I can only imagine how the operatic part went, but Deanna loved to see his fun side, which hasn’t ceased since.
The Proposal
Memorial Day weekend in 2018, early bird Max woke Deanna up for a sunrise walk at Pier Village in Long Branch, NJ. As soon as the sun began to make an appearance, he popped the question. They got to celebrate the occasion with her entire family at a Memorial Day BBQ later in the day, and they also welcomed the arrival of Deanna’s cousin. Busy day all around!
They’ll be incorporating aspects of their cruise ship meeting into their wedding day with favors like luggage tags. I can’t wait to see all the personal touches they’re bound to have. #FromCruiseToIDos, these two will be tying the knot in April at the beautiful Palace at Somerset Park. Here’s some favorites from their spring Lambertville engagement session!

Deanna’s beautiful ring came to be through a collaboration between the two. They both had an idea of what they liked, and those ideas came together to make this beaut from Blue Nile.
When did you realize you partner was “the one”?
“We always had an idea from the beginning, but it was solidified when we moved in together and still loved each other. Max let Deanna decorate for Christmas in early November, and Deanna let Max grow a new obsession with a fish tank. That’s how we knew lol”
Spring is one of my favorite times for an engagement session in Lambertville – everything is in bloom!
How do you make each other laugh? How do you complete each other?
“We just talk in the silliest voices. I would never feel confident enough to do in public but with each other we are such doofuses. We always say there’s no one else in the world that would accept each others’ goofy voices. And we also complete each other because he is very chill and I am extremely not chill. But the combo works together great!”
