Melissa and Mike thought Princeton was the perfect place for a fall engagement session. First, it’s absolutely stunning in the fall! But more importantly, it’s where they went on their first date, so it’s a special place in their hearts.
On that first date, Melissa and Mike had an immediate connection. They felt like they had known each other forever. Mike was a true gentleman and showed up with flowers and wine.
After grabbing a bottle opener and some plastic princess party cups from the dollar store, they shared a drink in the car before their dinner reservation. Any couple that shares wine in princess party cups is sure to be a great time, and Melissa and Mike are definitely tons of fun.
The Proposal
Melissa and Mike are true foodies at heart. They love cooking and trying new restaurants together. On the day of the proposal, this is exactly what they were up to. They spent a beautiful day in Asbury Park trying a new restaurant.
That night at home, Mike realized that even though he had other plans, this was the perfect time. They had spent a wonderful day doing what they love together, and he decided to ask Melissa to be his wife. She was in such shock she didn’t answer for a few minutes, but of course, she finally did say yes (she thinks!).

Mike’s favorite thing about Melissa is that she loves him for exactly who he is (just look at the way she looks at him!). He describes her as “hilarious, charming, caring, and beautiful. She’s perfect in every way.”
Melissa describes Mike as “kind, supportive, encouraging and honest.” But her absolute favorite thing about him is how he’s always making her laugh. She knows she’ll never get sick of him because of his brilliant sense of humor!
You Complete Me
Mike and Melissa might look adorable and innocent, but don’t let them fool you! Mike was more than likely whispering inappropriate jokes in Melissa’s ear to get those smiles and laughs. They share this sense of humor and often know what the other is thinking before saying it!

Melissa never questioned how she felt about Mike, but she did need him to pay for a few dinners for her before she was totally sure. Mike, on the other hand, knew Melissa was “the one” immediately. We love “love at first sight” stories!
No doubt, Mike was cracking some more inside jokes for his bride-to-be. Look at that joy!
The Ring
Mike got his whole family involved in picking out Melissa’s ring! His parents and three sisters all came along to the jewelry store, and his youngest sister served as the hand model. They finally found the perfect one and snapped a photo of them all crowded into the jewelry shop to commemorate how excited they were about Mike popping the question!
Melissa and Mike support each other, bring out the best in each other, and encourage each other to be better in everything they do.
Melissa can’t wait to eat the food at their upcoming wedding- and have a husband! Mike can’t wait to see Melissa in her dress! We can’t wait to see the whole wonderful day unfold for the happy couple.
