Some love stories just feel meant to be, and Brian and Christy’s proposal at Pier A in Hoboken was the perfect reflection of their joyful, high-energy relationship. The two first met on Hinge and instantly connected over coffee at Gotan on a snowy Hoboken day. What was supposed to be a quick date turned into two and a half hours of nonstop conversation. Since then, they’ve built a relationship full of adventure; running together through Hoboken, joining the More Than Miles run club, and even completing multiple half and full marathons in their very first year together.
Their shared energy and love for life is what makes them such a natural match. Both incredibly social and outgoing, they often say they never thought they’d find someone who could truly match their pace—until they found each other. For Brian, one of the moments that solidified Christy as “the one” was watching her absolutely crush her first full marathon after he had just raced the Jersey City Half, then celebrating with friends afterward in true Christy-and-Brian fashion. Their love is full of thoughtful surprises, big celebrations, and the kind of fun that makes every ordinary day feel special.
When it came time to propose, Brian planned a day that was perfectly tailored to Christy’s dream. Knowing she wanted something personal, he chose Pier A in Hoboken—a place deeply meaningful to both of them, filled with memories of waterfront runs and some of their favorite city views. After the proposal, the celebration continued with a romantic dinner at Maxwell Alley, followed by the ultimate surprise: over fifty of their closest friends and family waiting at Zeppelin Hall to celebrate with them. It was a beautiful reminder of just how loved these two are.
The ring was equally thoughtful, inspired by a style Christy had fallen in love with after the two stopped into a jewelry store together on the way to see Wicked. Brian later worked with a local jeweler near his hometown to recreate the exact look she wanted—with his own special touch. Their proposal photos perfectly capture the joy, excitement, and love that surrounded this unforgettable day, and we already know they’ll make the sweetest save-the-dates.
