Prallsville Mills, Spring Family Photos- Stockton, NJ

There are some families I have the privilege of photographing year after year, and this one holds a special place in my heart. From their engagement session and wedding to maternity and family milestones, I’ve been lucky enough to document so many chapters of their story. Our most recent session took us to Prallsville Mills in Stockton, NJ—one of my favorite locations—to capture life with their now family of five.

This session marked our first time photographing their identical twin boys, who are as adorable as they are curious. At this age, posed portraits aren’t always in the cards—they were far more interested in exploring the world around them. And that’s exactly what we embraced. The session was candid and loose, filled with playful moments, laughter, and a whole lot of personality. It might not have been the easiest shoot to direct, but it was a beautiful reflection of who they are right now.

Life with young kids—especially twins—can feel a little chaotic, but it’s also full of magic. These are the fleeting days of messy hands, constant motion, and big emotions. By choosing to document this season, this family now has a visual time capsule of what their lives look and feel like at this moment in time.

These photos are a reminder that beauty exists in the unscripted, the silly, the unpredictable. And years from now, I know they’ll look back at these images and be so glad they made the time to capture it all.
