Backyard Spring Family Photos- Robbinsville, NJ

April brought such a joyful and relaxed family session in Robbinsville, NJ. I first worked with this couple when I photographed their wedding, twice (thanks Covid) so it was extra special to reconnect and document this new chapter with their daughter, who was about to celebrate her very first birthday!

To keep the birthday weekend as stress-free as possible, the parents planned the session for the day before the party—a brilliant idea that allowed everyone to be fully present and enjoy the big celebration without the extra hustle. We held the session at their home, which made the experience so much more comfortable for their little one. Young kids are often more at ease in their own environment, and it truly showed in her playful, happy energy.

The backyard offered plenty of space for their daughter to explore, and letting her run around freely gave us some of the best candid moments. What made the session even more memorable was the presence of a few extended family members—who happily stepped in for a few casual photos with the birthday girl. It added a warm, multi-generational feel to the gallery that I know the family will treasure.

This session was a perfect mix of celebration, connection, and fun. To this sweet family, thank you for welcoming me back to capture such an exciting milestone. Watching your journey continue is such a joy, and I hope these photos serve as a beautiful reminder of this special time!
