Jan and Stephanie’s proposal at Cross Estate Gardens was nothing short of magical. After working through a few different location options—some unexpectedly closed—we quickly realized that this garden nestled near Morristown, NJ was the perfect place for such a special moment. With its peaceful winter landscape, dried grasses, and a light blanket of snow, the scene felt calm, intimate, and beautifully serene.

Jan had carefully planned every detail, including a celebratory brunch afterward in nearby Morristown, where the options for a cozy post-proposal meal are endless. As luck would have it, the park was quiet that day, giving the couple a rare sense of privacy in an otherwise well-frequented spot. To top it all off, the sun was shining brightly, casting a golden glow over the garden and making the entire moment feel even more like a dream.

Stephanie was completely surprised—and visibly thrilled. The joy on her face and the ease between the two of them made every photo feel effortless and genuine. Their natural connection shone through in every frame, and it was such a pleasure to document a love that feels so grounded and full of warmth, even on a crisp winter day.
