Matthew and Sophia’s love story began in the most classic of settings—middle school. From childhood friends to lifelong partners, their journey is a testament to the enduring power of love that grows stronger with time. Their proposal at the stunning Ninety Acres Gardens in Peapack Gladstone, NJ, was the perfect culmination of years of shared memories and dreams of a future together.

Their first date, a sweet and simple outing at Little Mia’s pizza down the shore, is a memory that still brings smiles to their faces. At just 16 years old, they laugh about how Matthew could barely afford the hot dog and pizza they shared. That youthful date was the beginning of a relationship built on laughter, love, and mutual support—a relationship that would see them through high school, college, and beyond.

Together, Matthew and Sophia have discovered a shared love for cooking, eating, drinking wine, traveling, and playing mini golf. Their bond is strengthened by the little things they do together and the way they balance each other out. Matthew’s selflessness and constant consideration for others make him the perfect partner, always ensuring that Sophia never goes hungry. Sophia, on the other hand, brings warmth, thoughtfulness, and a vibrant social energy to their relationship, making everyone around her feel valued and loved.

Of course, no relationship is without its quirks, and Matthew and Sophia are no exception. Matthew has a habit of asking at least ten times if you like what he’s cooked or the wine he’s opened, a charming trait that Sophia finds endearing, if slightly repetitive. Sophia, always full of surprises, tends to be fashionably late and has a knack for baking desserts at the most inconvenient times—traits that make their relationship all the more colorful and fun. Although her timing may be off, at least they get to enjoy a little dessert together!

When it came time to plan the proposal, Matthew knew he wanted to make it a moment to remember. He chose Ninety Acres, a place that held special significance for the couple, having celebrated birthdays there in the past. The location’s breathtaking beauty made it the ideal setting for such a monumental occasion. To add an element of surprise, Matthew cleverly told Sophia they had an appointment there, followed by dinner. Little did she know, I was waiting to capture the magical moment when Matthew would get down on one knee and ask her to be his forever.

The proposal was a beautiful and intimate moment, just the two of them in a place they both loved, with the stunning backdrop of Ninety Acres. Now, with their proposal photos in hand, Matthew and Sophia are excited to share their joy with family and friends, starting with their save the dates.
