Engagement Session Location | East Jersey Old Town Village Piscataway, NJ

Session Locations

Located in Piscataway, NJ, East Jersey Old Town Village is an open-air museum perfect for engagement sessions. It is filled with historic original and replicated 18th and 19th century buildings. It is quite the hidden gem and I’ve always found the location to not have many visitors, which can be helpful to anyone a little nervous about having their photo taken.

By far, the best part about this East Jersey Old Town is the rich textures in the buildings.

There are lots of cute elements on each of the building, like the tiny porch on this pretty white home for example.

This is the shot we print nice and big for the family room wall!

A simple pedestrian bridge seen here from two different times of the year. This is the area the connects East Jersey Old Town to Johnson Park.

Admittedly, I love the snuggle shots the best for engagement sessions.

I’m a sucker for neutrals and earth tones. I just love this pretty stone wall!

Above all, the main focus of the engagement session is get you used to the feeling of being in front of a camera. Capturing beautiful photos might seem like the obvious purpose, but it’s more about the experience. We’ll shift the focus from “OMG I’m so awkward in front of the camera!” to “Oh this isn’t so bad, it’s just us hanging out.” That’s when we’ll get the most natural photos and you’ll feel confident that the wedding day photos will be exactly what you’ve dreamed of.

Your engagement photos are an everyday portrait of yourselves. I love the idea of embracing the casual nature of sessions at a location like this.
