TCNJ, Fall Family Photos- Ewing, NJ

I had the pleasure of photographing this lively bunch at TCNJ, where both parents once roamed the halls as students. As repeat clients, I’ve been lucky enough to witness their family’s growth, and this session was extra special as they eagerly await baby number three. Aside from the joy of getting to watch their family grow, I really love the opportunity to work with this family again and again as I find they are so much more at ease having worked together before. They know what to expect and even if the kiddos aren’t perfect during the session, we’ll still walk away with beautiful images to display as wall art in the home or to give as gifts to family.

The session was a whirlwind of energy and excitement. Instead of trying to corral the kids into perfect poses, we let them run wild, chasing each other through the leaves and laughing without a care in the world. It was chaos in the best possible way—a true reflection of family life. I’d so much rather capture the kids for who they are instead of putting them into a stiff pose. I hope the parents can look back and laugh, knowing that was their child’s personality at that age.

TCNJ provided the perfect backdrop for family photos, with its nostalgic charm adding an extra layer of meaning to the photos. Amidst the laughter and chaos, I captured the genuine love and connection that binds this family together, even as they prepare to welcome a new addition.

As we wrapped up the session, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the opportunity to document these precious moments. Life with kids is messy and unpredictable, but it’s also incredibly beautiful, and I’m honored to be a part of it. Here’s to this amazing family and all the adventures that lie ahead.
